It expires after one day. The cookies used on our website are the ones installed by default in WordPress and by the following plugins, Elegant Themes, Google Analytics, MailChimp and social media platforms.
Comments
When you leave comments on our site, we collect the data that you submit in the comments box. We also collect the browser string and visitor’s IP address to help with spam detection. An anonymised string created from your email (also known as a hash) may be provided to see if you are using the Gravatar service. You can read the Gravatar service privacy policy here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment. If you directly disclose personally sensitive data through Groves Naturopathics public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Media If you upload images, you should avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors can see these images, and they extract the location data.
Who is your data shared with and how long is it retained?
If you submit a comment, it is metadata and is retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically. We keep contact form entries for six months, analytics records for 12 months, and customer purchase records for six years. Our partners also collect anonymous metadata, and this may include information which is not unique to you, such as your post code, age, gender, your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and address from referring website.
